Ever since its inception Metef has been the world's top showcase exhibition for the entire aluminium and non-ferrous metals manufacturing segment.
After 8 successful editions at the Garda Exhibition Centre in Montichiari, in the 2012 edition METEF-FOUNDEQ took a giant step forward and moved to VERONAFIERE exhibition centre in Verona, one of the most prestigious fair grounds in Europe and leaders in the organization of business to business exhibitions and events. This strategic choice arose from our willingness to consolidate the event, one of the world leaders in the aluminium and technological metals sector, and to assure METEF-FOUNDEQ a sound and steady growth, in collaboration with a centre of excellence like Veronafiere, a leading organizer of exhibitions in Italy and one of the main organizers in Europe.
With this move to Verona, at exactly the same costs that have already been advised to our clients and operators in the sector, METEF-FOUNDEQ 2012 is broadening its national and international horizons for the exhibiting companies, multiplying opportunities of visibility and business for those operating in the sector and uniting Alfin-Edimet's knowledge and competence in the sector with the experience and professionalism of one of the most renowned exhibition centres on the market.
Distinguished itself as the opportunity par excellence to have a close-up view of the industry's latest developments in machinery, plant, equipment, products and aluminium applications, Metef is a meeting point for large and small scale enterprises in the industry. It provides the most qualified experts in the field of diecasting, extrusion, foundry, rolling, surface treatments and complementary technologies, with the most innovative and technologically advanced solutions to cope with the most demanding production requirements.
Metef dates back to 1996. It is an initiative of Al-fin Spa, the company that groups together the main Italian extruding companies, and which has now assigned the management of the exhibition to its subsidiary Alfin-Edimet Spa. Alfin-Edimet is the company leader in metal publishing, known as multimedia network in the sector.
Conferences, association gatherings, round-tables, corporate meetings and cultural events, unique opportunities for promotion and obtaining up-to-date information, set the backdrop to an event that has continued to grow - in terms of both exhibiting companies and surface area covered, as well as the quality and number of visitors.
One can not talk of Metef without mentioning Foundeq Europe, now in its 6th edition: Italy's one and only exhibition of foundry machines, equipment and products. This successful event originated from the close collaboration of Alfin-Edimet, the multimedia publisher for the metal industry, and Amafond, the Italian trade association of manufacturers of metal-casting machinery and equipment.
The 7th edition of Foundeq has been confirmed as a mandatory meeting ground for those in the business: a unique occasion of national and international visibility because of the number and quality level of the exhibitors as well as, and especially, for the number of qualified visitors.
Priceless support by the industry, close collaboration with Amafond and the support of the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE), rapidly made Foundeq Europe the datum point for the Italian and European foundry business.
As confirmation of the event's national and international standing, the sponsorship of Cemafon - the European Committee for Foundry machinery and products - should be stressed, as well as the attendance of numerous foreign delegations.
Metef, together with Foundeq Europe, have also grown in international stature as a result of the involvement of domestic and international associations such as AIB-Confindustria, AIFM, AIM, AITAL, AMAFOND, ASSOFOND, ASSOMET, Camera di Commercio di Brescia, CEMAFON, CiAl, EAA, ESTAL, FACE, IIS, OEA, QUALITAL, UNCSAAL - not forgetting the consistent attendance of official delegations from across the world.
